Your foremost problem is having to deal with a lawyer in the first place. If you spend so much money on lawyers that your legal fees eclipse your liability, what exactly have you accomplished? An ordinary lawyer is not incentivised to resolve your problem quickly, because how else do they get paid. We built this firm to remove that conflict.
We have a couple of lawyers and a couple of paralegals, which means we stay focused on you rather than on the size and expense of the office. It also means Hanna reads your file himself.
Empathy is not a soft skill
We firmly believe empathy is the cornerstone of effective representation. A lawyer must be able to step into the client's shoes and act for them as if they were acting for themselves. Understanding you at that level is what produces advice that is actually tailored, and a plan you can see through to the end.
The formula
Solving a problem requires a handful of things done faithfully: investigating the issues diligently; understanding the intent and the desired resolution; identifying the express and the implied objectives; foreseeing problems so risk can be mitigated; and then having the will to act until the end state is reached.
The other half of the formula is being a good listener, communicating clearly, and holding mutual respect for your fellow human. We apply that to every matter. It is why a small team can carry a large practice area.
Creativity, and being good people
Interpreting and applying legal principle takes innovative thinking and resourcefulness. We approach each case looking for the unusual solution as well as the obvious one.
Underneath all of it is a commitment to being good people, driven by a genuine passion for helping others. We are invested in your success and we treat your problem as if it were our own. That is why we stand by our motto: whatever it is, we can figure it out together.
What this means in practice
We will tell you when a claim is not worth running. We will quote a fixed fee wherever the work can be scoped. And if the matter belongs with a specialist or a barrister, we will say so early rather than late.
